I really am greatfull for this game....i posted like a year ago when it wasnt even out. I wanted to buy it but never got around to it. When it came out in stores i wasnt able to get it untill now.

Games from Stardock are fun

I currently play Stellarfrontier as Space_Man_1,im at the rank of Emperor in that game almost a deity
(Deity=highest general rank in the game)
Im in the top 20 score board in that game
Why am i saying this? Im crazy about games from stardock..:D
Umm can someone explain what these forum ranks are "Citizen" and "Veteran" and "Senator" I know what they mean but i dont know their relation to this forum.
Also,i played in StellarFrontier and combatted as hard as i could to win a galciv copy but i lost heh....But this game beats SF.....:) I really like it.
I will probably start my own Empire. As i lead/own a fleet in stellarfrontier. Ill play a bit then start me own empire possibly

As for the "Citizen" stuff, i'm not realy behind it, but it has something to do about how activ you are in the metaverse: Gaming, Forum etc.

And about the empire:
I've thought as you wen i started the game! i mad the "mistake" to made a post and a whol lot of invitations flodded over me! LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

I still don't understand. How do you play online?Is there an offline/online option somewhere?

You do just submit your scores to an online scorebord, there is no actual online mode in GalCiv.
Submitting scores will bring you up in the Metaverse ranks.
And if you are with an empire it will profit from your scores as well.

How do you submit scores?

You need to have an active connection to the internet when the game ends. Here is how I do it with dial up. The end game movie plays and the summary screen comes up. I alt-tab back to desktop and connect to internet. I then alt-tab back to GalCiv and look through my summary (you don't have to do this part). Hit Done on the summary and a screen will come up asking if you want to submit your game. If you hit yes, it will upload the results. When you are done you will get back to the main screen and you will have a pop up window telling you of success or failure. You want the first number to be a 1 and the next to be a zero. You also must have registered your player name on the metaverse before this will work. On the submit screen you will use the player name you registereed.

To register, click the metaverse button on the website and you will see an underlined link to register your player.

Oh and ill probably join that jedi thing rather than create my own empire....i mean i am a starwars/startrek freak.
And my friends dont seem to be able to make it to the game so.....
Maybey ill try a game first and see if it submits.

Some people have reported problems with submitting games on DSL. Don't be discouraged if you aren't successful the first couple of times.

And welcome to the Metaverse!

Yeah, I noticed some folks with DSL have trouble submitting for some reason. If you have a firewall make sure you give adequate permissions.

And Stellarfrontier is a space shooter game where you gain rank [honorably of coarse otherwise a moderator will wipe ur stats]You get a ship and can buy certain access to the advantages of lasers,mauraders,starbases for 20 dollars. The game needs some fixes and the devoloper Douglas Hendrix is working on them i believe. Its a fun game,easy possibly,but as it apears easy its very decieving, when cheaters [people who use hex editing programs that edit the game memory to achieve god mode although I sadly have reported it to the game devoloper doug,a fix for that does not seem to be in the near future] For me as one of th top-players in that game I like to have a challenge sometimes such as combating cheaters without cheating or useing any bugs. It has 'lag' and many things to learn. You can find the majourly out of date website at www.stardock.com/products/sf or you may find things at www.stellarfrontier.com or www.stellarnews.net If galactic civilizations existed before this game did I might not have ever had the pleasure of playing it . Its a fun game despite the disadvantages. Basicly you have a space ship you fly around killing things....although many players have 'prefereances' for this game. And they make 'rules'. The most help you will get from anyone are the existing players in the game...the 'staff' of the game dont exactly umm make large tutorial documents etc...anything i know of this game is self-learnt. Blah lol how bout you try it?

I'll propably try SF online, recently i played gainst thr CPU, many things changed to O/S 2 as i could see.

I don't feel so bad now. I just got around to buying it too, yesterday in fact. Which explains why I was up until 5am this morning.

Well, get ready for a lot more of that: I have the game since day 1, and yesterday at 4h28am I decided I should stop and go back to family life, just to find out they were all sleeping (how can they sleep when I'm in the middle of a death struggle to save the galaxy!).
