A couple of Altarian Prophecy Questions - I'm sorry if these are stupid

First I'm wondering if the cirrent AP beat has some new ships/races/tech in it already?

Also, I can't tell if when I launch from the AP launch screen if I'm in the new AP exectuable or not since I don't see a version number.

The current beta only appears to contain editors (scenario, map, campaign). The new races, ships, etc look like they'll be in a later beta release. This information is coming from the Roadmap on the home page.

Also, I believe if you go to the menu when in AP, the version number at the top center should be 1.49 if I remember correctly.
