Senator ranking means you have the power to expell any member from the empire if you wish. (ie if they break the rules of the empire) Basically there is nowhere on the forum that shows you as a senator, only the empire screen

To answer your question, the reason i joined(created) this empire was simply that i didnt want to sit in one of the major empires. i like the challenge of playing the game to help better the empire. Makes you feel like you are doing something meaningful

You were Lord Megatron. We managed to get to 7th place with you and Nand1 now that you have left the dream has been crushed.

But besides that, with all major players playing maso and getting 60k scores there isn't a lot for us little 'normal' players to do against such an onslaught. So that is why Lady de Sade and I have stopped submitting scores. There is no way for us to compare to them. I will, however, every so often submit one because I still love the game, but its not really worth it.

That is the reason this empire exists. We are here for the game and not the Metaverse position. I figured that there was more to galciv than submitting scores to the metaverse. But it is gratifying to further oneself and that of the empire you are in. I know that the Diplomats will likely never hit the top of the charts as we dont play maso games(mostly ). but we will do what we can.

This empire is all about the little people. Together 'we' can make a difference, if only to our own morale.

I'm very sorry to hear this. I hope Stardock takes this into consideration. I think it sucks when two great contributors like yourself and Lady de Sade, stop playing.

Lady de Sade, she stopped submitting scores...I don't believe she stopped playing.

I, on the other hand, haven't played for a long time, and that isn't something that Stardock should worry about. The game hasn't lost interest, I lost interest in the game. I tried playing last night but I couldn't get any music so I played Day of Defeat. I'll play today, maybe, I make no promises .

It isn't that we stopped playing its we stopped submitting, she realized first that she couldn't compete with the top dogs and has since left the community (I haven't seen her since) where I still contribute to the community but haven't submitted games.

It's probably to late for Lady de Sade, but if there was a way to split the metaverse between maso and non-maso that would be really cool and it might bring back some of the heated rivalries in all aspects but I may be asking for too much.

None of this makes me think any less of Stardock, they put together one hell of a game (pardon my french, so to speak) and nothing will change that.

Sometimes this is more important.

I really respect and admire the Evil Empire because of its creativeness and ambition. I would hate for it to fold or becom dormant.

Thank you, always thought that our creativity was well-known as well as our ambition, but to hear someone say it makes it all worthwhile.

GalCiv has the best community around it. And I love the heated debates and taunts as much as the next guy, and I'll hate for it to stop.

And as I was considering defecting, I will stay in the Evil Empire for the time being.

You're right, Alexus. However the top-10 play maso and it creates a rift between them and the little guys like me.

It's part of the game, I know, but it makes the meta that much less fun.

The harder the game play, the more I respect their ability, but it kind of makes it a little, more or less, hard to keep up.

I say to all the little guys, fight on!

Just for future reference, Spellforce, diplomacy is a double-edged sword, it works both ways.

I will advise to start with medium size maps until you get the hang of it and then move to bigger games, I just play only medium and once in a while I play large, I have played only 2 masso and I won by alliance and pure luck, I don't like masso games, if you see my latest score is just challenging and tough, once in a while I try a Crippling but that is too hard sometimes, I agree that the Metaverse should be divided in divisions such as Top Dogs (masso players) 1st class (for those who play challenging and above,but no masso) and Beginner Class for those who play only below challenging.

And Spellforce my promess still stand.

And I also agree with the players from the Evil Empire, if you just play to get masso to get points the game losses its appeal, I just play for the fun of it, sometimes I start the same game 5 or 6 times just to see the mods in action and to get a better position. I even create newmods that I only use in my computer, I have new shields to protect the planet, new military modules and new cultural modules for my starbases, hey if you haven't notice the following, built an starbase and give it to the minor races and you see what a pretty color it has.
