upgrade problems

i went to stardock central and downloaded the updates. it shows that i downloaded the updates in stardockcentral. but my game continues to run the old galciv that i started with a year ago. how do i get the update to take affect.

this should be automatic

game version is visible when you try to save a game, you should see 1.13 on the top of the window

i dont have the built in tech library that people have talked about. My build large structure technology prerequisites are messed up. and i dont have a turn on cheats on the lower left of my menu screen.

This is probably way to simple but if Stardock shows you have 1.13, have you check that the GalCiv shortcut points to the correct place (i admit: wild guess)
