New to the game, many questions
from
Stardock Forums
A. I got patch 1.10. I know the latest is 1.l3 but I'm frightened by the many bug reports I see on this forum. Anyway, 1.10 says it includes a history.txt file which tells what it changed, but as far as I can see, there is no such file. Could someone point me to a list of changes? Thanks.
B. I have only had the game for a day and so far I am no good at all. Any newbie strat guides out there?
C. Is it just because I am a beginner that it seems like your starting position makes a *big* difference in how well you're going to do?
D. How can I develop a feel for what I can get in trades in return for what? Just lots of playing? Or is there a doc somewhere that helps explain? Or is there something explicit in the game that helps me out here? (Like CivIII's "what would you offer me for ..." option?
E. Is it just me or did CivIII copy alot from this game?
F. Where can I find an explanation for the games economical mechanics? I've got it sort of figured out but I'm still somewhat mystified by some things. How does it decide how much a planet produces each month? Is it tied to population, quality, or both? Or what?
G. How do "influence points" work in trades?
H. How does the AI behave in Federation of Planets elections? How should I behave?
Thanks! I know you're going to love answering all those questions!
