European Alliance thread

Welcome all you

1 Europeans
2 Soon to join the Europeans
3 Soon to be conquered by the Europeans

The European Alliance has been a bit quiet lately, but a quiet front is better than no front. We are now in a very active period with heavy recruiting and a lot of activity on the website and forum

News.

We are currently at nr 3 position and are well on our way to meet our final goal. TOTAL DOMINATION. Of course no one will stand in our way. And even if they would our forces will reckon with them.

Our one and only Aaberg has become Minister of Scorekeeping
and has some very interesting strategies posted in our bunker in the forum, only available for members that is.

We are currently actively recruiting keen players with a winning mentality (The European way of course) Follow the link to our
joining page:

We have a few people roaming the net in search of great topics and new ways of playing the game. This link comes right out of our website forum. Enjoy!!

No matter who you are, you can be sure that you will be welcomed to the European Alliance with open arms. If you want to be part of the winning team that is about to reclaim their rightful position as the true leaders of Metaverse then European Alliance will be the team you want to join.

Wow! This has turned into a real pep-rally! :D

Yeah. I'm good at pep-rallying.
I used to be campaign-manager for G W Bush.
Until he found out my real name was Muaddhib.
I didn't find it fair, it's not like I'm family of Bin Laden. Well not real family anyway ownly my sister married his brother. Oh and the accident with that car bomb, was just a juvenile prank; i served my time. :D :D

It must have been only temporary craziness in the mind of our emperor. Of course we will take the first place again!

Hello to our European Friends! In case you missed it, RB is sponsoring another set of succession games. Since many of us at RB have been playing Civ3 succession games for years, it seemed a natural progression for GalCiv. Our first game was a rousing success, and we are looking to jumpstart three more games before the next patch/expansion.

See here http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GF&id=127933 for the details. This is a great opportunity for some cross-empire gaming, as well as an opportunity for some of the great players around here to give back to those who are still learning. Succession games are a great opportunity for those learning the game to see how the good players play. So, please join us and help make succession gaming a regular part of GalCiv.

Cheers,

I'll take a look at your proposal dear friend. As I'm sure the rest of The Euro's will to. Thanks

Quite interesting, perhaps you can one day organise such a game but then between empires. Each empire will have 1 team, the one empire to win with the most points will win the contest.

That's a possibility. Sirian has plans for a tournament similar to the Realms Beyond Civilization Epics (see http://realmsbeyond.net/civ for more information). It's less of a competition--more of a comparison. Sure, for many of the games, there are winners, but we relish more of the storytelling than what number flashes on the screen at the end of the day.

That being said--and inter-empire succession game competition would not be a bad idea--it shares some of the ideas that some of us have about comparing how folks play given the same starting conditions with no spoilers--which is the heart of the Epics, IMO.

In any case, if you have the interest, stop by--we have several spots still open.
