If I put one in the SOL home system, will I get extra cash from it when freighters depart and arrive?

Yes, as long as the mini freighters are in that sector, you will get bonus income.

This is very good to know! So building a trade starbase in my home planet sector is good, since I create most of my trade routes from earth.

Build two! The bonuses stack! Although, they only add, not multiply like influence bonuses. :notsure:
