Posting lost in the aether

Cari: I posted a gigantic maso yesterday morning (I think it was), got the "successful" 1/0 return codes, but when I clicked "Metaverse" the page was not found, suggesting that the site was down. I tried to check the Metaverse several more times with the same result. Later, I found that the Metaverse was up but my score was not there, so I loaded the end game save and posted again. 1/0 return codes...but as of today the game still does not appear. Would you take a look and see if you find something? I hadn't changed the alias in the posting screen since my previous posting.

There is a gig maso showing for 1/28 in your profile now... is that the one?

Looks like you are having the same problem that I am having--score shows in the profile, but the game and score change is not showing on the overlord score listing page. You have 17 games played, but the overlord page only shows 16 (and your score based on 16, even though your player profile shows the correct profile score for all your games).

I do not know what is going on here--seems rather odd.

We don't have as many servers as we need right now because of the server failures, so everything is slower than it should be.  Also, the metaverse is so big now that updating it takes a long time, so you will probably continue to notice lags between updates.

Thanks for the information Cari! I had guessed that it was a server update issue. It was surprising, since the update frequency I have experienced to date has been extremely fast.

Thank you for the quick update.

Thanks for the replies, Terl, BBRB, and of course CariElf. I had also experienced extremely fast updates, sometimes the score appeared moments after the posting. That game *still* does not appear. (Two whole days; I know, I know.) :p

So the one that you posted on the 28th is not the one that you're referring to?

Well, the game I posted on the 28th shows up in my personal profile and in the empire score calculation. It does NOT show up in my player standing listing.

Player profile shows 18 games.
Player standing listing shows 17 games played (and the score that I had at 17 games submitted).

Same thing for me. I can tell because I posted my second 60,000 point game, but my total shown is 122K. The other 14 games were not that bad...

BamBamRB, I just checked your personal profile and your player listing, and both are showing 19 games.

Herman, you have 16 listed in your player listing, and 17 in your profile (if I counted right).

So I think it's just the update lag.

Thanks, Cari. Everything seemed to fix itself when I submitted my 19th game, but thanks for following up.
