I'm thinking that 80 is more reasonable. I'll ask Brad about it, though, since he's the one who made the ship definitions.

I agree, otherwise I don't know how to destroy it! If that's the correct figure it makes eyes of the universe very impoirtant: I'll need the early warning in order to send my fleet away asap! LOL One must know when to fold if faced against impossible odds.
(specially since there is no fleet bonus for less powerfull ships (:( )

Cari, where should I make that change? Must I wait till my current game is over (I'm afraid that a couple of these 800point ships will take out my whole fleet when made available)?

No, just change it in the ship definition file. The game will automatically cut down the hit points when it updates the ship turns.
