So um..... Is the Expansion going to be available only online??

or can i pick up a copy in the stores?? I havent had much time to play galciv recently, but with an expansion coming out it might bump another game that i play onto the backburner for a while. This is of course provided i can get it in a store..........

From what I remember the publishers has decided not to make it availble in stores, Stardock can't do much about it.

Well, you can mail order a CD or download of the expansion from stardock if that's a feasable option for you. :)

from what i gather from this post, it will be available only online. So you can DL it from any country as long as you have a CC. If you dont, your out of luck.

I can't download it and not get the CD beacause if the operating system needed to be reinstalled or something there goes my money.

I'm sure you could download it again, just like you can with GalCiv. And you could burn it to a CD if you have the equipment (or know someone who does).

Cheque or money order drawn in US dollars is also an advertized payment method, and as mentioned, Stardock tends to go out of their way to find a way to make things work.

Regardless of where one purchases GalCiv they can always download it directly.

When you buy GalCiv, you actually become a subscriber to Drengin.net (Stardock's electronic distribution network for games). You buy GalCiv in say, Germany, you can toss out your CD entirely if you want and just use your serial # to download the latest/greatest version.

As for whether the expansion pack will be avaiable at retail, it probably will be at retail at some point. But not necessarily until after release directly.
