Game slowdown during battles

Whenever I go into a battle my game just slows down big time

Once battle is over (whenever I can be bothered too wait long enuf) it returns too normal
But as you can imagine, it is annoying

Have you tried turning down to 16M colours?

My eyes cant tell the difference between 32M and 16M.

If you havent already done so, you should turn off the options to watch enemy ship movments and battles on the options screen. This removes the frustrating wait for next turn.

For now Ive got it like that, but it would be nice to actually watch the battles ;)

GalCiv ONLY runs in 16bit color, full screen or windowed either one.
