Does AI use Political Parties?

Hey, does anyone know whether or not the AI uses political parties, because throughout games I get the galactic news that so-and-so's party is back in control of the Torians or whatnot.

My question is stemming from an mod attempt where I gave the Universalists a PQ bonus of 100%, and all of the other civilizations appeared to have increased PQ on all of their worlds.

Thanks,
Ben

Yes they do use Partys, too

You should beware of the anormalous trigger, if you pump up such things like PQ early in the game, that much you might end up with 0 points

100% will definitely cause an anomalous. Anything over 40% PQ bonus will.

Universalists a PQ bonus of 100%, and all of the other civilizations appeared to have increased PQ on all of their worlds.

This is the dangerous thing about modding political parties...the AIs know what to look for in parties too and will pick the one you probably do. Packing one full of bonuses doesn't always make your game any easier!

Is there any way to tell what political party an AI race has picked?

I don't think there's an in-game way, but once they've started having elections, you can quit the game (save first of course), and open up Debug.err in Notepad and it will show the election results for all AI empires.

AI's do have political parties and elections beacause sometimes you recieve so and so has lost control of the senate. I do wish that there was some way of telling how the aliens political parties are at current (for interest value more than game play).
