Planets arn't what they seem

Since putting in 1.2 I have had 2 occasions of when scanning a system their is a planet with a PQ high enough for me. When I colonize the planet it shows its true PQ and I eithe pay through the nose to keep it or destroy the colony and loose the colony ship.

Anyone else with this problem now.

It could have been a planet that was colonized by a somebody, had an unfortunate event that reduced the PQ, then they abandoned it. The effect of the event stays with the planet but doesn't show up until you colonize it.

You can look at the true pq of the planets and abort the colonization. Just hit ok, then instead of hitting a planet to clonize click on the map just by the system, and the colony ship reappears. You then click on the system and it shows you the pq. You can then click on your ship and right click the system to colonize, or send it somewhere else. Also, you can click on the system before you colonize it and it will show you the planets in it and their pq. In general, mid game if you see an uncolonized yellow system near any alien space it's a good bet it's been reduced by mass driver invasions and the like to be uninhabitable.

Good one! I knew that you could abort a colonization in progress, but it didn't occur to me that you could peek at the true PQ that way.

I did click on the star before colonizing the last one and it said pg 15, 14.

After colonizing got pg 11, 10.

The pg did not drop for me untill colonization complete.
