Please someone help me! Write down "exactly" the steps to save a game in the Altarian Propehcy Campaign. Everytime I type in a namer and hit save... well it doesn't save. It's getting so frustrating!

The campaign is the newest portion of the beta so it's possible it's messed up. We just got that part functionally working days ago.

Left click once on the New save game entry.
Type the name you want in the entry field at the top
Hit enter.
The new name should now be in the New Save game entry.
Click Save.
Note that campaign saves will save in a subfolder of the campaign directory, named the same as the campaign.
To continue a campaign, click on the Campaign button. It will automatically pick your last save game to continue with. If you want to change the save game it is using or reset the campaign, click the reset button and it will bring up a list of the save games for that campaign.

Does the save menu close after you hit save? Did you try checking your Data\Campaigns\Altarian Prophecy folder to see if the file really did save?
The load\save dialog in game scans the Data\SaveGames folder when it creates the list but it actually saves to the campaign's folder if the game is a campaign. I could make it scan both, though. I didn't have time to do that before we put up the beta.
Edit: I've been e-mailing with Jeff and this is apparently the case.

I found the saved games in the: C:\Program Files\Stardock\Drengin.net\AltarianProphecy\Data\Campaigns
I now see that's the problem. When I go to load a campaign, it's not looking in that directory. Also, there is no prompt to overwrite an existing file. I think if there had been (overwrite prompt) I would have realized it was being written somewhere. I can't find any way to load those files though...

When you "resume" a saved campaign the screen seems to default to "Normal" difficulty?
Does anyone know if the campaign mode saves the difficulty level?
Thanks

I was playing the campaign, and I reached mission three. I had enough for the day so, without finishing the first turn, I quit.
Now, when I try to resume the campaign it continues from a point about 10 tunrs before the end of mission 2.

I have a problem with saved campaign games also. None of the saved game show up in the load game or save game screens. If I use the reset button after selecting campaign they do show up there. I can still play the game by using this method, but its more difficult than necessary.

I just started a new campaign after playing my first solo game in AP. The saved games from my solo game show up in the load game screen while playing the campaign, I guess its just looking in the wrong directory. :notsure:
Other than that the campaign looks really interesting so far.

'Reset' the campeign to EndGameSave. That should load the scenerio after the one you just finished.
