I want to start skinning but...

Ok... I am VERY interested in skinning and probably designing a few wallpapers. I have GIMP, SkinStudio (free) and I'm tryin to get photoshop but theres no way I can afford THAT! For now I just have GIMP.I have a few good ideas I think, but I have NO idea how to make some of these cool graphics that I see on this site. In short, I was wondering if anyone knoiws where I can get some free lessons. Or any help whatsoever... Any advice would be appreciated immensly.

Btw... I also have Office 2003. ALL of Office 2003. I don't know if this is relevent, but I thought I would throw it out there in case it was useful.

I like the site. I have to look around but it seems kinda like wincustomize. I meant more along the lines of free courses, etc.

The guys over at Skinartisty http://www.skinartistry.com/news.php have some free lessons on skinning. Give 'em a go!
