Has anyone tried to install the patch 1.2 lately? it seems the one on galciv has a problem...did download it many times since yesterday and i always get an error message when i try to unzip it.

Any help?

Have you tried to use Stardock Central? It will download only the files that are needed.

I tried both with Stardock Central and the download section here. On stardock Central it does download but stucks when unpacking. I guess it must be the same error that i get when i try to unzip the file downloaded from here. It would be great if someone could check if the file is still ok.

I downloaded the 1.2 patch at the end of Mar and had no problems. I then used stardock to update it.

I did have a problem with one of the AP beta downloads (#define HTTP_ERROR_READFILE -8) but that has ceased with the next upgrade.

I've been trying since friday to download the patch and i always get the same error message when unpacking. I did update the other file (mmmh...Encyclopedia i think) and that worked fine.

Try to download with your ANTIVIRUS DISABLED!!!
I could not download Altarian or galciv with my antivirus on!!!
Also try to download the stardock131.zip from the link below:
http://134.215.215.67/private/sdc131.zip and extract it over the actual dir of stardock. Then try again!
I tried to download Altarian Prophecy and Had error 8 all time! With stardock131 it works OK!

Just extract the parent directory (the ... as you see it in win rar) over the C:\Program Files\Stardock (just that)and then create a new shortcut of stardock on desktop ( find the executable stardock 131 in the dir where you have extracted it by right clicking on one of the 2 exe stardock files and choosing properties -it will show what file is the 131.exe).
Then try downloading again.
Also i have downloaded a patch without stardock.exe program but i dont have the link. You can ask the sales office for it.

Thanks to the help of "Jake" from the Stardock support, i managed to download the patch.

Well, now i still want to download AP...and that hasn't worked so far. I'll try this weekend again. Otherwise i'll wait for my cd-rom (shouldn't last long, but still that seems sooooo long!!!)
