How can I arrange icons?

I have desktop x running and have deleted a couple of icons on my desktop.

How do I rearrange the icons so they are lined up correctly now? That function as been removed by right clicking on the desktop.

Also, is there a way to arrange them differently (i.e. a circle)?

Thanks a lot - I am new to all of this...
