Thank you, Stardock, the option you give us UK citizens is either one hazards putting one's credit card details over the Web or go to the extraodinary and expensive hassle, if you live in the UK, of purchasing an order expensively in dollars an expansion pack which one would reasonably have expected to be on sale in UK shops! The Net reportedly just isnt sufficiently safe for purchases, from all the articles one reads.

This was the dilemma I faced with Space Empires IV which I eventually decided to avoid, despite how good I heard the game was!

I, as an English fan, have learned my lesson, as have I think many other UK fans, who bought this game in the shops over here on the understanding that Stardock would be committed to the game both sides of the Pond for a minimum of two years.

I am DISGUSTED! It would appear we UK devotees of this genre are being treated like second class citizens! (:(

I don't agree. Why are you emphazing UK citizens? The problem is the same for all european citizens. And some people would like to play it in a foreign version.
For example, French people who don't speak english. How would you rate them? Third world citizen?

I don't understand your anger. After all, you have some way to purchase an expansion pack. What would have you said if the AP was cancelled due to a lack of preorder?
As for using credit card on the net, were the hazards on using secured protocols or unsecure protocols?
And perhaps you need to have a credit card that is accepted in USA.

And I don't see why the expansion is expensive in dollars compared to ponds: what are there retail price of Galciv in UK and what is the exchange rate.

And I apologize if my post seems a bit aggressive. It isn't supposed to be, but I could have badly choose the words and the sentences. :notsure:

I havnt checked this topic for days, and its grown. Its nice to know that it will be sold retail. Im really happy about that. Anyhows thanks everyone for your help. And thank-you stardock/strategyfirst/galciv for making it possible to buy it retail

still would be nice if we got worldwide retail (not just uk or eu retail but same for the aussies )

I myself am a uk citizen trying hard to get it but my card isnt working yet so its shops or hassle with bank as I only have friday to do things in what with work
