Check that both the background and the progress image have the SAME palette.
They can be ANY 16 colours..... but must only be the SAME colours.
Both not only need to be 4 bit....they need to be the SAME 4 bit...
that will look good as progress bar, edit, copy to, bootskin folder as prog.bmp. This way never have to worry about
colors.

Yep....safest way to do it...
Again I need to stress...if the main image has 16 specific colours only those exact same 16 specific colours can be used for the progress....you might not need all 16 but you must only choose from those 16.
When you do a new boot.....and it's a new 16 colours...you MUST use THOSE 16 for the progress, not some other 16 from a previous project.
I can't spell it out any more simply than that....
