How do the 2 new Altarian Races behave? and is one evil and one good, etc? (curious)

The default setting, from the scenario editor, is both on pure evil. I like the Korx on Pure Good and the Drath on Pure Evil myself, for balance.

I've been doing the same as "A Better Tomorrow". To keep the basic balance of the game's alignments. ;)

Other then that, they act like the other Major races. If you set them to Evil, they bully and extorts lots, like any Evil civ. If you set them to Good, they aren't as quick to bully and extort, just like any other Good civ.

yeah, the 2 new races, if left on their default, behave like the drengin ive found (cosmic bullies 2, 3) :)

Well, actually... when *I* installed my AP, all Races were set to "Pure Good". I went through and split them back up to be balanced for my games. I don't know what the new state of all races are in the latest build when it installs though.

The Scenario Editor does seem to think that both the new races should be Pure Evil.

How do you set a races alignment back to it's intended alignment after you have played a game where you have changed it? I haven't seen a default option or a button anywhere to set it back to it's default.

I think you have to deinstall, delete leftover files, and reinstall. Of course, you could just ask what the default alignments are on these forums, and then set them back to that.

I wonder if the 2 new races will actually act uniquely and not like any of the other races when the final beta is complete and 1.0 is released.

Sure I could ask if I really wanted to, but why not have a simple button or option for default alignments? Then all the people who have been put off by these boards could get them.

Deleting the prefs.ini file will set all races to Pure Good in AP or to their defaults in GC.

In AP, to get the default alignments, make a scenerio in the editor that doesn't change anything. The scenerio editor uses the races' proper alignments as defaults instead of AP's all Pure Good defaults.
