little bit of help please.

On a small to meddium map, would 5-6 planets with 3 other people playing be good engough? When I get more than that it seems i always start to lossse moral or the enemy already has battle ship and i don't.

plus does anyone know if the a a release date (or range of dates) on when Altarian Prophecy might be released?

If you are having problems with the game as it is, you can "dumb down" the AI in the opening selection screen.

The AI rankings are:
Incredible (very hard)
Genius
Intelligent
Bright
Normal
Sub-Normal
Beginner
Fool (very easy)

I have no idea when Altarian Prophecy will be released.

At the higher levels of the game, the aliens almost always get to battleships before me. But there's a trick to get em to trade with you for it. Post your email if you wish to know the spoiler and I or someone else will send it.

Oh and medium abundants, I usually win with 6-7 in the first grab yes. Medium Rares, 2-3 is enough to win it with. 4 is a Godsend.

If you're having moral problems and your taxes aren't above 50%.

Soil enhancement
habitat improv
entertainment networks
multimedia centers

All help moral early. It usually isn't a problem for me after midgame at all unless, a race is destabilizing me (which is rare)

even without the force of spaceships, I am finding it hard to keep all my people happy eveb with everything the helps moral built and have a +20 percent at the start fo game. it is a wise idea to just send half the people from each planet into conlony ship and the just disbanded it becuase I know that works, but then I get very litlle money becuase of release all those people.

Basically the bottom line is try to rush colonize (4 or 5 good planets 15 PQ or above should do it, change to research, research for a while and then switch to 20% social 80% research, bribe the AI's exchange techs for other techs or money and you will be fine, try to keep your tax above 65% and everything should be fine. For more details let meknow and I can send you a small walkthru.

You know, the first time I played this game I went and colonized all the planets. Couldn't figure why moral was so low and I was losing money like crazy.

Then someone said not to colonize any planets lower than PQ 15. My eyes opened and the game was FUN. :HOT:

Just wondering if you missed that too.

Don't forget to change your Tax slider too. Setting your taxes too high will make people mad.

either A: You are colonizing too low of pq worlds
or B: Your taxes are way too high. 40-50% is about all you should go in the long run.
Or c: You are colonizing initially with way too many people. Try 100 or fewer.
Try the populist party. It has a +20 morale boost built in. By low morale, anything above 50 is fine. Anything below that is a problem.

Are you in debt (money in the red) A heavy debt will lower morale faster than you can shake a stick.

P.S. You really shouldn't have to offload people from worlds. The only exception is if you take over an alien planet and you get one of those morale zero things... Then you have to offload while you build improvements so that it doesn't revolt to the I-league.

Two follow-up items. Regarding the difficulty levels, are Incredible and Masochistic (or Maso) the same? Also, I would be interested in the trick that Captain Jack Sparrow referenced, to get the AI's to trade the Battle Ship tech. My e-mail is [email protected].

If you set all the AI to Incredible intelligence, you will play a Masochistic game.
