Looking for .imp files in AP

I cannot locate the .imp (improvement) files in AP. I wrote a program that parses the GalCiv .tech, .imp, .sbmodule and the .ship files to give me a database and a file to input to the graphviz (http://www.research.att.com/sw/tools/graphviz/) program to draw a tech diagram, but in AP there does not appear to be accessible .imp files. The GalCiv files are "achievements.imp", "GCImps.imp", "tradegoods.imp", and "wonders.imp".

It looks like I should make the program able to handle mods as well.

AP is an addon so it uses the files in GC. AP does have its own data data directory which as of 1.49J contains APshippack.ship, coremodules.sbmodule, english.str and starbase.ship. It also has its own mods directories though.
