Alliance vic question

In order to get the alliance victory, you need to have all civilizations allied with you.

Now I'm still a bit confused on what this means. Does this mean all existing civilizations? (i.e. you're allied with 2, while the other 3 have been eliminated). Or do you need to have all 5 races alive and allied with you?

Oh alright. So I can just wipe out 4 civilizations, and ally with the one remaining race and still win alliance vic?

Edit: You may want to upgrade your version of GalCiv. You will get better scores if you do.

You just need to get to close relations with the surviving major races (minors don't count) and then set up an alliance with all of them. So a few can be killed off along the way, yes. I wouldn't recommend allying too early unless you really need some extra alien help in a game vs. a real bad opponent. You might get some help against the common enemy, you might not. But the ally will be sure to try and call on you if they get in trouble! Because of that, a lot of us set up an alliance all at once to end the game rather than risking getting tangled up in alien foreign policy.

Edit: Nm, i got confused (i thought he said all races must be in existance, not all in existance). As gerakken said, all you need is to ally with the surviving MAJOR races- even if there is only 1 left.

also, as previously stated, if you upgrade your galciv version to 1.20.xxxxx your scores will increase significantly, like 10-100x as many points as your getting now.
