How do I ally with another race?

Noob question....


...I already have alliances reseached and I gave the technology to all the other alien races. What do I do from there to ally with them? I don't see any thing under treaties in the diplomacy screen. Should it be there?

Make sure that you have a friendship rating of 'close'. Once you have that you will see a new clickable header on your side of the diplomacy screen called 'alliance'. The rest is down to you :D

Yep, need them at close or you cant get the alliance. You get any other questions feel free to pop into the senate halls and ask ( http://diplomats.galciv.org/forum ) You can normaly find someone there from one of the many empires who will be glad to help, and if needs be will go into your question in-depth with you.
