Good and Evil; Question

Alright..

Last game, I tried to be an evil civilization. Every time one of those random events popped up, I chose the evil desicion. There were about 3 or 4 that popped up that game.

In the end, I had a neutral alligned civilization. Shouldn't it have been chaotic evil or pure evil?

What exactly was I doing wrong?

Nothing. It is probably down to your game version. You are using 1.04 and the latest is 1.20. There have been some major changes since then. You should consider downloading the latest version from www.stardock.com (same username as galciv in registration section) any problems email Cari at [email protected]

Hope that helps ;)

Oh. So back when this version was out, they didn't have the good/evil thing around?

No, but it was probably harder to get an alignment change in the older ones. That problem has been fixed in the new ones. You will likely need 5-6 events to get an alignment change from netural to chaotic good/evil. It could take 1 or it could take 10. :)

Some events are also worth more towards alignment change then others. Get some small ones, and it will take many. Get a big one, and it will only take that one.

So far, it appears to me that those which give a modifier of +/- 20% or so will shift you from Neutral, haven't experimented with shifting from Evil to Good, or vice versa.
