Loads of Questions

Ended up playing a fairly long game which was kinda frustrating because even though the arceans had only 3 stars for the entire game, me ending up with about 40, they out-manufactured/research/populationed me for 3/4ths of the game.

Anyway, back to the subject I was on I have about 5 questions:

What exactly does The Terraformer do, so far it seems pretty random to me how much it raises each PQ. Obviously more for the higher ones, but is it a %, or is it more of a random number? I couldn't really tell from when it happened.

What are the exact bonuses sovereigns, wraiths, paladins, and Vampires
I saw sovereigns from someone else add +4 to their defense in the sector, but is it always +4 or a %? Does this stack with multiple sovereigns?

How much do paladins add to healing? I notice a slight difference when I'm healing a group of ships in orbit, but I haven't noticed too much while out in the stars. Is it a significant amount and I'm just not paying attention or is it fairly minor? Does this stack with multiple paladins?

Same idea for Wraiths and Vampires...do they stack?

What's the deal with a lot of the random events that show up with stories attached sometimes? Most of the time they kind of abort themselves halfway through for me, as a result of the culture dying (in the case of terrorists) or some other factor.

For example in my game I just played there was something about terrorists looking for something from the arnor? Then something about them trying to find an orb? Then it just stopped cause it said I had done good espionage. Any idea what would have happened if I didn't have good espionage? How much would have been necessary?

I think at this point I had advanced espionage on all 3 remaining races, but what if I just had advanced on like 3 of them, and 3 others I had ignored? Would that be enough, or would there be a % chance that I would get whatever the bad event is which increases as my espionage sucks more?

Any other nice stories I've missed in the game?
I've gotten the draginol one once...I ignored the message saying I should destroy the colony, and boom, there's the draginol...I tried to fight them, then just made peace with 'em and they pretty much killed everyone else for me...it was nice.

Anyone else found any neat stories?

The Terraformer raises PQ by 20% on each planet, and the wonder raises all planet PQs by 1.

The Soveregins and all other ship bonuses do not stack I believe, they are percents I believe.

That would be the Fundie event, the orb one. Would be nasty for Evil civs. To keep it off, I think you have to use espionage against all.

The Fundies and the Draginol are the only two I can think of off the top of my head.

Raises your Empire wide PQ ability by 10% I think. This adds about 1PQ per planet. Some may jump 2PQ.

Sorry...no idea.

Same thing happened to me, so I really don't know.

I attack them once, then sue for peace at about 140k bc/month for 100 turns and soak it up until they are about to lose to an AI them take them out. By that point I have tons of cash and rally don't have to worry about the game.

I'm pretty sure it's +10% PQ. It's not easy to tell, since all the PQ bonuses are added together and then rounded down. (eg, a PQ 12 world with Soil Enhancement and Habitat Improvement is +20%PQ, eg, 14.4 rounded down to PQ 14. With another +5% from the racial bonus pick, you'd have +25%PQ, which is enough for PQ 15.)
