Disabling Monsters and minor Races?

Is it possible to disable monsters and minors? The problem is that i suck so much at this game that i can't take out a monster, and the minors are generally annoying (often much bigger than the major players). I can't even hold my own at normal diffuculty...

It doesn't matter if removing monsters and minors is considered a cheat since reporting my games to the metaverse isn't too important to me.

What version of the game are you playing?
If you haven't AP, you can't disable minors.
I guess monsters (space sharks) are annoying if you surveyor is on auto survey.
If you don't want the space shark to appear in anomaly, you just have to remaove from your data directory the file Expansion01Anom.ANOMALY. That won't prevent space sharks escaping from ZOO, but at least, the space will no longer have eggs.

Welcome to the game :)

Go to your "Galciv/data" folder and remove the following file "monster.ship"& "Expansion01Anom.ANOMALY". Place these files somwhere safe. This will remove the Space sharks from the game completely.

Here is a suggestion - collect all these little simple answers and make a FAQ. I would think that this would be ideal for newbies and oldies who sometimes forget more than they know :p
