As I Walk In The Rain

Through the rain I walk
Letting the rain fall down me
Walking through the drizzle
Leaves me at peace and lost in thought
I let it soak my brown hair
Soak my clothes through and through
Till I’m covered in water
I just walk
No where in particular just looking for something
I’ll hopefully find
I walk through the rain
Lost in how calm it makes me feel
Inside and out
No worries, are left behind
As I shed all my insecurities about you, life, and just plain ol` me
My body is freezing cold and wet
But inside there is a fire burning bright
I never thought would
I can figure out my life
By just walking through the rain
Letting it wake me in my dreams
Letting it wash away the old me
And as the sun peaks out from behind
The dark, stormy clouds
I’ve been reborn
Into the light I step
And out of the dark
As the sun dries the rain and dries my tears
Leaving me with a feeling of warmth and welcome
All this, just from a
stroll in the rain.
