in the past week ive gone from roughly 720k points to 670k.... rank 18 to 24. One was a major drop, of about 40-45k, probably due to a bad block shift. But since this time, ive submitted 3 more games. And my score has not changed, in fact its gone down in farther. In my latest game, i submitted at 671k, i checked score after submit, and its down to 670k. Whats going on?? Why should i even bother to submit games to metaverse if im only going to lose points doing it? I believe jtqwerk is also having a very similar problem, only his is more like 100k drop... Im very confused.

A cursory glance shows a huge gap with zero Nov '03, Dec '03, and Jan '04 games and second gap between Feb 20 and March 25.

I don't seem to be able to find the 720K situation. But:
- on 5/13/04, Frogboy has made a post telling that they have correct metaverse calculation, with the affect that some old players have recovers points (a recalc has surely occured)
- 720K will currently rank you 19. So 3 weeks ago, the requirements to be ranked 18 have been surely less important
- in the last fews weeks, top 25 has become a very hard place to enter
- I am not 100% sure of the formula I used. It seems to work for most cases (I found exactly your score), but I have problem with people being in metaverse for a year or more
