Stardock central problems for the nth time

Hi,

Every few months I (try to) install GalCiv via Drengin/StardockCentral. This time I receive errors about the chunk size. Look back through past posts and it says it might be a problem with the California server, which is the only one available.
I'm completely sick of Drengin net - I consider this a very bad purchase. I'm fine with purchasing over the Internet but I'll stick with CDs or a downloaded file rather than a download manager that doesn't work thanks.
I'll try again in a few months time just before my subscription expires - maybe it will work then.

I tried to install the latest release of Altarian Prophecy from Stardock Central today & got a similar error about 47k into the download..

I had the same problem and emailed the tech support. They are able to provide me with a fix. I would suggest that to you.

Thanks - I'm not so peeved now. I thought Stardock Central was supposed to update itself?

It updates itself, but sometimes runs into trouble. The only option then is to completely reinstall SDC over the previous version and everything works again.

It is a pain but easy to take care of if you have enough time.
