~~the reporter is handsome and distinguished with grayed temples, but he is wearing too much make-up to hide his obvious aging face~~

"This Kazzryl Archnon reporting just outside the new Diplomat's Embassy. Marking their six month anniversary, the Diplomats have relocated to their newly constructed, self owned, Senate Halls."

~~the reporter puts one finger to his ear~~

"The crowd has assembled here outside the marble steps of the great hall. There is much excitement and anticipation."

~~the camera zooms out revealing more of the great building~~

~~as the camera further zooms out, one can see the new emblem of the Diplomats~~

"As one can see, the Diplomat's new location is a much larger facility with many different annexes. People from throughout the galaxy in the Metaverse will have the opportunity to enjoy many of the great facilities."

~~camera zooms around the building~~

"One can see a bank has been established along with its own stock exchange. A new post office created for the Diplomats located right on site as well."

~~camera zooms up~~

"As you can see further up, we reporters have out own new HQs as well."

~~the reporter grins~~

"There is much here to offer for all. Aside from the bank, one can even buy a lottery ticket or post their own portraits and avatars."

~~camera zooms back to reporter~~

"But most exciting, is the new Great Hall, where anyone from through out the Metaverse can speak with other members without the use of delayed messaging! It is a historical day for the Diplomats on their six month anniversary, but it also an exiting day for all of Metaverse!"

~~someone hands the reporter a slip a paper~~

"This just in, the Diplomats will also have exclusive rights to the new GalCiv Writer and its launch. It will be available from a direct link in the Embassy or from the help center!"

~~camera zooms to a podium at the top of the marble stairs~~

"The crowd waits in apprehension for the Diplomat's Culture Attache to speak on this historical day."

~~the reporter puts his finger to his ear again~~

"I just have word of his arrival."

History, history is a collection of great events; times, places and people where great things were done. Today is a reflection of one of those times, 6 months ago, An evil man, named martyn wraight, who was the keeper of a great library of information split from his evil brethren and created an empire, an empire of people who believed in the same cause: to play the game, to have fun, and to form lasting bonds. Today that empire has grown to the second ranked empire in the metaverse; but it wasn't always so, 6 months ago, a lone disciple came before our great emperor, he was merely trying to get to know this game, he didn't come to join an empire but his impulsiveness go the best of him, and he joined becoming the first new member, immediately the emperor saw his value and promoted him to the rank of consul, he has served faithfully and been instrumental in some of our greatest projects ever since. We were soon joined by our first French member and our chief diplomat someone who has set for himself a standard of reasonability and inspires the same wisdom in us all, after him joined Tom, a legend among us for his harsher days, yet we stood by him he is a brother, one of us as such we don't abandon them in there darkest times, he was a bit of a lost sheep in this great place we call the world wide web, but our emperor took the roll of shepherd and guided him to safety. Soon though our empire was to see something most unusual and unimaginable, for a little while the great emperor was wooing Minister of Chaos from his old evil brethren and Amulek was emperor of his own empire in a bold move of rebellion for a period of 30 days, to see if he liked the game, both of them wished to keep there alignment in a very neutral empire, our emperors wisdom suggested they join together to keep the balance, then late one night they had a soul searching conversation, and on that very same night both pledged allegiance to the diplomats for all time, nearly doubling martyns retainers.
In times since we've received many other members each of them we consider an asset to us. Among them Jason Kauffman aka A better tomorrow, Jason always has an opinion, and is always ready and willing to help those with questions. Our halls have been graced by the stories of our very own Circeus (United Worlds Federation) who disappeared as quickly as he came it seems. I myself Joined in a whirling storm of camaraderie and the others haven't been able to get rid of me since. while Marquessa Joined us making history and being our very first Female member as well as our first Australian member, we welcomed her with open arms as well as sulked at her departure. Then we saw the admittance of 3 members with very small intervals, the real Mr. beer, who seems to have lost interest, Cactoblasta our second australian member who has brought with him interesting opinions, and we see rising quickly through the ranks, and finally, perhaps one of the more significant jumps we've had, technician one of the top ranked players, and the Canadian stars highest scorer his presence has allowed us to jump up to second place.
In short order this day is very significant to us, it is a day that not only represents a benchmark of our history, but also presents us proudly with the opportunity to announce the opening of our new forum, our new home, a place of our own, this is what our emperor and Consul has worked so hard on for us, it's something we've dreamed about for a long time, and we stand proudly unrepentant. Yet, we are prouder still to welcome you all to our home, to enjoy all that we have here to offer.
