Dumb Noob -- Can't find version number

Can someone please tell me how to find the version I am currently playing? I can't find it, and don't see a reference in the manual.

On the options screen (where you save the game) you should see something like 1.05 in the top center. But the best place is via SDC, where it even shows the build number (ie. 1.05.071).
