Skipping Alpha 11...
from
Stardock Forums
We had too many little glitches in Friday's build to get alpha 11 out so we're going to just go straight to the beta build.
The beta build will be available to everyone on Drengin.net. Interim builds will be available to select testers that we'll be selecting in the group based on feedback (i.e. people like Fredrik and Cunak and Dominic and John).
The governors are just about in and I will be writing up a proper manual to get things started for people. The change from alpha 10 is pretty significant in AI, game play, and graphics.
The main missing game mechanics will be the United Planets, Forms of Government, Ethics system implemented. These are obviously huge things to be missing and we'll be working hard to get them in before the end of the summer. This way, we'll have the entire Fall to focus on implementing your suggestions and game changes that you believe need to be made to make GalCiv a classic strategy game.
