Goodbye

A message to the Seniors...(In highschool...not old people... :D)

The time is approaching fast,
And sadly you’ll be gone at last.
My friends, I shall miss them,
And my memories shall not grow dim.

Our experiences were great,
Though now you proceed with fate.
You leave us now and go on with life,
To see you leave gives us strife.

We may cry,
But our tears will dry.
Someday we’ll meet again.
Don’t worry, my good friend.

The times we shared,
Cannot be compared,
To anything else I’ve seen.
I know you’re leaving, it seems like a dream.

We will move and we will travel,
Were we go, fate will unravel.
So much to say,
Before that fateful day.

My memory will always be,
For you were very dear to me.
Goodbye, my friend,
I hope that someday we may speak again.

We all wish that we will eventually meet up with the people leaving later in life... but sadly, it is all up to the person and how they feel. If someone is willing to go back home and "rendezvous" during vacations or summers, then you know the friendship will last and they really care about everyone "back home". Hopefully their coming back is to keep strong foundations on friendships or to weaken any harsh feelings with enemies.

I might sound a little "out there" with my statements, but I live in a rural area where everyone knows everyone... and that is why graduates come home. To meet with friends and mend relationships with enemies.... I see it all the time.

If they do not return home... it is one person lost, for the good or the bad, only one person lost.

It hurts to loose people to graduation, death, or other goodbyes... but sometimes it is for the best.

Even if it's not, you can't stop it....so the only way to live is to cope. Goodbyes are hard, but we shouldn't dwell on the saddness.

Hey, I've already promised to come back. Sarah would probably try to kill me if I didn't come back as often as possible. Plus, I like the school's lunches.

Capt. over and out!

I agree with Sarah. It would be best to not talk about it at the moment.

*sigh*...You girls and your emotions. I suppose I can understand...that's why I wrote the poem. Well, good luck in your denial...but it's going to happen before you know it. I think it's better to come to terms know then breaking down and crying a river during graduation.
