For now if you want just turn off the music and play your MP3's in the background.

When you get around to working on the music, would it be possible to allow us to point the game at a music file we want it to play (only for the background)?

John, I for one would love that and wish other games would also do the same. To answer your question, don't quote me on this but I think you can replace the current mp3's with your own, isn't that the same thing, in a way?

Yeah, the songs that play will be in MP3 format, so if you want a quick fix, jsut import your own music and change the name to "space01.mp3" and it should play in the place of the other music. A built-in MP3 player would definatly be a worthwile addition to the game...though currently quite low on priority :(

or try something like The Sims did, throw links to the mp3s (or the files themselves) into a music directory, and then the program will play them in random or sequential order from that directory.

".... you can replace the current mp3's with ..." --- Not really. Renaming and moving files around can turn out kinda messy. I am hoping for a browse and select type of thing. Restricting them to MP3's is understandable.
