Boot Screen Problem!

Why?

Hi, this is my first posting, but could any one advise me on why when i have installed the boot screen software, when my laptop starts,all i get is the dreadddddddddddddded blue screen.But i have a home PC and it works fine on that.
Any help would be great

Bootskin doesnt work on all BIOS...Sometimes you can get one of the other versions to work and sometimes not..try it..I think there are three to choose from..try the other two..if none work then your laptop just wont accept bootskin...

If you're using different skins then the skin that is giving you the BSOD blues has poor quality control.

Meowy, if there is an error in bootskin.ini it will not show up in list when open Bootskin, a progress bar using colors different from screen image causes bad color when applied. I just removed progress bar image from a booty, left info for it in .ini, applied fine just no prog. bar. I have downloaded hundreds of Bootskins from WC, have never had BSOD from any, it is the BIOS. From other threads laptops seem to have BIOS customized more than desktops.
This is why at bottom of Bootskin page at Stardock there are a couple other versions for download.
I would say 999 times out 1000 problem will be BIOS.
I will play some more with bootskins to see if I can get BSOD, but most likely will not.

Follow up, progress bar errors, wrong bit depth makes a mess of colors, wrong size, used one 133x38, looks silly, but
bootskin apllies. Screen image errors, wrong bit depth, wrong size, it does not show in list when open Bootskin. If it is not in list due to image or .ini problems it can't be applied. BSOD is due to BIOS conflict.
Now would say 1000 out of 1000 times will be BIOS.

Right on that! I've never been able to get bootskin to ever work on my machine and believe you me I've tried EVERYTHING. Always the blue screen of death. So I've chosen just to do without.

yeah i have a dell and for some reason it won't accept bootskin, i'll try the other downloads as well though
