My Lonely Garden
Another one of those downer poems...this hit me at midnight so I jotted it down without my glasses...the fun part was deciphering what I scribbled down....Enjoy!

I walk in a beautiful garden,
I look around and see,
The world smiling back at me.
Lord, tell me why,
Why can’t I find one to love me?
What do I need to do?
I trust you’ll get me through,
But how, I shall never know.
I’ve learned and I’ve grown,
Watching the world go by,
Standing here, all alone.
My friends stand beside me,
But it’s just not the same,
Am I the one to blame?
Why?
Why can’t I capture what I seek?
I drift by everyday and every week.
Alone I stand,
It’s not what I planned.
Searching for an answer,
I am on a quest,
To find the one,
Who will love me best.
I will never give up,
I won’t lose hope.
I’ve observed the world,
Through my own scope.
I pray that someone is out there,
Waiting for me as I do her,
A twinkle in her eye,
As she waits for just the right guy.
So lonely I feel right here,
In a garden not of paradise,
But of quiet isolation.
It seems so hard to have faith,
Stuck in a wave of desperation.
A longing feeling,
I need not explain.
Have you any advice,
To ease the pain?
Love can be so bittersweet,
A toiling pain,
Or a pleasurable treat.

As I once feared.
