I know that you are hurting,
so bad yet so brave.
You can't fool me, I know you.
I have known you from the day we met.

You can fool everyone else, but
I, I can see right through these brick
walls of laid down emotion.
The tears only overflow when you're drowning
in your sorrow.

So I hold you in my arms, just hold you.
And let my shoulders soak up the tears, and maybe
maybe just hold you, and wish hope on you,
wish joy for you, give love for you.

And when nothing else seems to go right,
I pray,
"May angels find you and grant you peaceful sleep tonight."

Very good poem...I don't think I could top that. Seems we have the same ideas about people...and we're pretty good with the understanding and caring....when its needed, anyway.
