Is This a System?

So I ponder life,
and wonder silently to myself,
"Is this a system? Do
I constantly live in a set of constant rules, constantly controlling every constant in my life??"

Do I make my own right? I don't know.
Do I fight my own fight? I think so.
Does anything I say mean anything at all? I know it does to you. I know it does to you.

So I think and sing while I still can,
because sooner or later I know,
that I won't even have that right anymore.
To sword out the words that give me meaning.

Does love hold the key?
Can it break the system?
Can it make us free?

Peace,

Life is a system if we allow it to be. Sure there are certain rules we should follow; laws of community and laws of God. But good or bad, we have the right to "choose". If we allow our life to be one of mediocrity, we will be swallowed up by the "system". And Love truly is stronger than the "system". Just don't "settle" for the expected, don't settle for the "way it has always been done", don't settle for the easy choice that is before you today--- grab hope, confidence and patience; and go for the real prizes in life...no matter how long it takes. You choose what you want out of life, you choose when it comes, you choose how you go about getting it. And let love be your rock and your lantern to guide your way.

No. Sorry, you'll have to look elsewhere for that. You see, love made the system.

That's profound, if a different way of thinking about it. Could you explain what you mean?

That's so very true. Thank you.
