Poll

I wonder if the poll has much value? I suspect that most people who come here have a predisposition to like this type of game and will vote for it. So what is to be learned?

This may be true but we want to make sure that our users are happy with the product first. So far they seem pretty happy, I know we have bugs to fix but that's true with any beta these days. We also put out the beta really early so we can use feedback from our users to make the game better.

its an interesting poll thats for sure. It may be a little too early for it though. I worry there may not be enough to do against the computer on easy yet I wouldn't call it a dud.

The question was does it look promising, right now I would agree if that was the final version. It would be like saying what neverwinternighs was without being about to level up

On the contrary, the poll has considerable value because many people bought Drengin.net months and months ago to play Galactic Civilizations. So the question then is, those people who got the game, are they pleased with how it's going or are we on the wrong track.

The results seem very encouraging, those users, even though many waited a long time, feel the game is on the right track.

It still has a long way to go of course, but we do know that things are progressing in the right direction.

If one were to take a poll of say Masters of Orion 3 right now in www.moo3.com on how they think MOO3 is going to be, what do you think the results would be?

The same as here. The people who vote are the ones who like these types of games and buy them (me included). I will buy the game regardless. The proof is in the results of the poll. It reflects what I have said. Virtually everyone who took it voted in the affirmative. The FPS players that do not play these games will not be coming to this site or Moo3, for the most part. The people who joined the net here are even more inclined to love this type of game and will likely stick with it irrespective of its merits. We never meet a space tbs game we did not want to at least try.
