A Place for Gratitude

(Author note: my statement of faith)

I don't believe
out of fear
or even faith

I need a place for
my gratitude

the rose
the breeze
the feeling of love for her

I need a place
to attribute thanks
not a cosmic ATM

call on God but say
"Thank You" and
it makes me feel better

makes life more full

sweetness all around me
in my every breath

God is the recipient of my
gratitude
wonder
and the keeper
of the puzzles.
