I Wonder...

What if I Ceased to be...

While I reflect time and time again...I get to wondering, "What if I suddenly disappeared?" Like if I died or something...what would happen? I'm not sure...I can't really see myself out of place easily. I wonder what would happen in my absence and who would really miss me. It's interesting to think about not being around and what would people do without you. Would I be missed? I like to think so, but who knows? I guess I'll have my friends help me fill this in....what would you guys do if I ceased to be?

I'm just wondering...so, go ahead my friends...share your thoughts.

Shaun, if you weren't around, I'd have probably gone off the emo edge.

Seriously, you don't realise how much of an buoy you are for all of us. Without you, well, we'd be sunk. You help us out with all our hard times, and I honestly don't know where I'd be without you.

Zoologist: Not knowing you, it's almost impossible for me to hazard a guess as to what would happen.
Those that truly love you would be devastated and need much time to heal, also they would miss you for the rest of their lives, that much I know from experience.
I do know that institutions are only focused on themselves and have no loyalty to individuals, no matter what they say......
I also know that life goes on, and for me that's why I always wanted to do something wonderful in my time, so that somehow, somewhere,
I'll have made a positive difference in this world, because by being gone, it's not possible to get any more chances to make that difference.
I know in my heart as well as my head that when I start wondering like you are, that I'm really feeling lonely, unappreciated, or unloved. I hope that
isn't the case with you!

If you ceased to exist, I wouldn't be able to continue to read your posts and get to know you more, then your chance to help
me see things through your eyes would be gone. I learn much from the younger generations, and am tickled pink to
communicate with them, so it would hurt to see you just gone.

I've written a poem about it. It's in a floppy at home.

Basically i say that i dont know how the people whom i know are gonna react. I believe that after the shock and the mourning, they'll just get on with their lifes with thoughts for you once in a while. Life goes on.

(this is not meant to depress any one, it's just my opinion. but i think it's realistic)

Well, for me, I would notice that you aren't blogging anymore, and I'd miss that, but since I doubt you would make posting an "I won't be around for awhile because, well... I'm dead" article, I guess I'd just be left to wonder what's up. ;~D
