Those who are regular readers know I have this friend Delizia. For those who dont know, let me fill you in. Delizia is a great mate, she's funny, she's always in a party mood, and she's got a car so we can cruise around and check out shops together. Except Delizia is a lesbian, and the whole town knows it. Not only does she have this tomboy/butch style, she's also drooling over girls that are sex bombs, lol! And guys are her best friends, until me.
She broke up with her girlfriend of 5 years, Deliah, who ditched her after one too many fights. Delizia is very jealous you see, and Deliah, well she likes to flirt around. So they broke up, and after many failed attempts (from Delizia to rekindle their love) they have decided to just leave at what it is. Nothing. She's got a boyfriend now (Deliah has a boyfriend) who isnt any other than Patrick. Delizia's cousin... Not very cool if you ask me.
She nearly lost it last week end when she saw them out together. She dropped me home and hanged around for a bit. She was crying so much. And she wanted to take her own life and you know all this stuff you say when you're heartbroken.
Since i been through my own dramas, and i've told Delizia i was leaving the country and preparing for a new life overseas, she's decided she wants to follow my footsteps and take the same decision.
It's not bad, but i hope she's thought about it thoroughly...
Anyway, the thing is we're hanging together alot, we make our grocery shopping together, we have dinners at each other's places, we watch movies together, and all the things that great pals do. But now, she's invited me to this Jazz dinner at this fancy hotel. Her bosses are sponsoring a table of 10 people. 5 employees and their 'partner'. So i'm going to be seen as Delizia's 'partner'. Which i thought was very funny at first, until i thought about it a bit more...
She confessed to me yesterday that her uncle was worried that she was leaving the country because I was. And that's when it hit me. People are actually thinking we're a couple! LOL
On the one hand it's quite cool, hehe, i have this new controversial image. But on the other hand, it disturbs me a bit that people might get the wrong idea. What if Prince Charming passes me by because he thinks i'm GAY?? HAhahah! Not that it's likely to happen, but you know, girls do worry a lot, and i'm no exception.
