Bug Reports

Here's my new list of bugs i've found- warning, there's a ton:

-Survey Ship started game literally ON the planet- the graphic was superimposed over the planet image, and listed as in orbit

-I have a custom Star.lst file that doesn't contain enough names for a gigantic or huge game. Left-over stars have no name. Perhaps give planets same names but add "B" at the end?

-survey ship on autopilot entering wormhole has no sensors once through, regains sensors upon next turn/movement

-normal turn events (production completions) pop-up despite ongoing ground invasions/assualts

-destroy colony button doesn't work...

-if two enemy transports arrive at same planet on same turn, but first transport win, second gets stuck with graphic superimposed on planet and never moves. Able to die though

-Stock Market often appears twice in the social projects listing, but selecting one selects the other as well. Banking Center has same problem

-Banking Center has no picture

-Starships destroyed while defending a planet in orbit not listed as killed in the news tab on right

-"Relations: String Number" was on Ally, then got this message after more gifts

-Still have sensors from enemy-conquered planets

-Ships defending enemy planets appear even if outside sensor range

-If two ships in orbit, and one removed/killed, the second won't move to the leftern-most slot. Remains until removes from orbit, or a successful defense

-Planets you conquer continue to make same projects even if your Civ not capable of the project

-Drengin Empire dissappeared from the Foreign Policy screen after first speaking, then declared War

-"Summary" at end of game gave all civs total of 1702. Not the sum of any civs points, or a sub total for any civ

-"Soldiers Killed" mine = 11, Altarians= 149755 ...

- no Timeline

- Semi-Froze when clicked "Done" to end summary screens, took about two minutes and a delayed alt-tab to work again, took me to start-up screen

Got some other suggestions but got to run. Post them later

Two Suggestions:

-have seperate resource indicators for military and social in the planetary information side bar

-have a visual acknowledgement of an orbital selection, ie make the blue box a slightly different color, etc, to visually show the selection

Two Questions/Queries/Comments:

-I found it odd that when a transport invades a defenseless system, the total population of every planet in the system is put under defending troops. So is the transport attacking/dropping troops off at every planet at once? Is this so that you don't have to deal with multiple races/civilizations controlling different planets in the same system for colonization purposes as well?

-It seems that all of the races, even the ones that are supposedly "Good" have a very strong predisposition to war, unless you put them on dumb or stupid. Shouldn't the Good civ's, at least, require some provocation before preemtively declaring war with no justification other than the fact they could destroy you? It also seems that all of the race's AI's lean toward this bent in there research, all of the races somehow getting battleships when i'm still getting advanced trade or something. It seems they have a pre-knowledge of where the tech-tree leads, instead of discovering anew each time, and none seem to be trying galactic domination by any means other than war.

thats my two cents, hope you guys find it worthwhile

Oh, i forgot to mention that it seems the population display on the main star chart is too.... big? a single star system ends up having a Gigantic population and the corresponding cicle of color takes over three sectors... perhaps scale down the ratio of billions of people to micrometer (or whatever length unit) on the screen display?

"if two enemy transports arrive at same planet on same turn, but first transport win, second gets stuck with graphic superimposed on planet and never moves. Able to die though"

Two invasion ships of the same enemy?

"-"Relations: String Number" was on Ally, then got this message after more gifts"

I'm not sure what you're talking about here

"-Planets you conquer continue to make same projects even if your Civ not capable of the project"

That's a feature

"-Drengin Empire dissappeared from the Foreign Policy screen after first speaking, then declared War"

So it came up with the message that you get when you first encounter a ship from another race, and then they didn't show up on the Foreign Policy screen, but they declared war on you?
