The Supreme court, no longer needed....

WTF!?

I just recently watched the news, and found out about the Supreme courts ruling on medical marijuana, then to my disbelief, statements by pro-mm followers are made,in that they would still defy the supreme court, WTF?! We say we have inalienable rights, that the SC is there to make sure our rights, and laws are maintain, yet we spit in there face by violating laws that we,by voting, have installed....it doesn't make sense,to me, we might as well throw away the SC,because there seems to be a "my way or the highway" feeling when the SC,or any court, doesn't rule in a majority's favor.....just a thought...

I agree lucas, and as long as those that defy the court system saying they will do as they please understand if they get caught they go to jail. I can live with that.

It's funny that both the left and the right are against the Supreme Court. I personally am generally happy with the SC as long as both the liberals and the conservatives remain un-happy with them - it shows they are doing their job.

That is why we have jails.  It is not new, and it will not change.

People are free to make their choices. Laws and Supreme Court decisions don't stop anyone from doing what they want. All they do is attach a consequence to an action.

The question now is, is a ban on medicinal marijuana realisitically enforceable. Doctors who wish to stay doctors will quit "prescribing" it, but will those who rely on it for pain relief quit using it. If they continue to use it, are local police and court systems willing to enforce it. Who really wants to put grandma and her cataracts in jail.

Destructive is subjective.  What destrucive?  Themselves?  Is it against the law for you to cut yourself?

But it remains illegal if unenforced.  There is a difference.
