I use instant messaging software, which some of you already know. I use trillian, because it lets me be on aim, yahoo, msn, and irc with just one client (not icq because I got way too much spam there). And I have a list of people on my messenger, imagine that. Now most of these people I talk to, a few of them I don't. Many of these people have icons attached to their names, and from time to time I'll go through the list and look at all the pictures. I guess I'm just odd that way 
Which brings us to SWIWNN. Yes, she's on the list, and I don't talk to her. It's often comforting to see her online, which implies that wherever she is, whatever she's doing, she's alive and relativly well. I like to know that, it makes me feel good.
How's this relate to icons? Well for the past while (3 years or so) she's used a picture of herself (her face technically) for her icon. Was a nice picture, I liked it (but I'm biased that way). Well last time I went through and looked at everyones icons I noticed hers had changed. It's now another picture of her face, and she looks even more beautiful then I remember. I'm glad she's still alive and well.
