It's easier to say that I did everything wrong and you did everything right.
Is it easier to run? Easier to fight?
And, in comparion with the things in my sight,
I find that, lacking a better explanation,
I sometimes run when I'm not afraid,
because things have been made,
into a heavy and painful diatribe,
and why must things end this way?
Because they must, and I'm glad,
that I made these memories I have,
And for better or worse, happy or sad,
I have a real life, full of pain and gladness.
I have been here to witness,
all of the glorious battles,
the beautiful moments,
the couples holding hands,
the youth grow into themselves,
and I haven't escaped unscathed.
And so as the rest of us remain,
to work through love and pain,
and to finally live through,
everything you feel and do.
Yes, it's easier to say hello,
than it is to say goodbye.
That's what makes goodbye,
the end of a beginning.
