EverQuest to Continue

Even with EverQuest II pulling in more users than its predecessor, Sony Online Entertainment has announced that it will continue support for the originator. EverQuest: Depths of Darkhollow is slated for a September release at $29.99 and will naturally be a feature rich expansion for the long running MMORPG. Players will be given seven new zones filled with new creatures, new in-game events and a "re-envisioned Nektulos Forest." Players will also be able to play as the game's monsters and still earn experience for their normal character. Quite possibly the coolest addition are items which will evolve over time, becoming more powerful the more often they are used.
