Main Map Bug (or is it a Feature?)

If you click and drag on the Main Map, and the mouse pointer leaves the map area before you release the button, the Main Map becomes 'unlocked.' As you continue to move the mouse, with the left button unclicked, the map continues to move around.

I have seen the same glitch. It is intermittant on my system and it is not dependent on the mouse leaving the main screen. The "button up" signal seems to get lost somewhere.
