Disappearing Gadgets

Hi

I have just installed Object Desktop and am trying to run the Gadgets. Thgey ran the first time I tried them - but no longer.

According to the Task Manager, they are running but they don't appear on the desktop or the task bar or the SysTray. I have cleared out the xml files in the cache as suggested but no joy.

I'm running XP SP2.

Any ideas

Try this:

Stop all the widgets if active and then clear the widgetcache in:

C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR LOGIN ID\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\DesktopX\WidgetCache

Your settings for each widget will still be active.

Hi Thanks for this. I have cleared all of this out and also the Temp directory where running each Gadget sets up a complete copy of the program and data files. Some dodgy programming there I think. What if Word did that? Plus running the iprepair thingee that soemone else suggested. My only query now is why the memory meter always shows 39% regardless of what I run?
